Divorce In a Day is a forum created to handle complex martial dissolutions in a collaborative manner. Its goal is to have the entire divorce process begin and end in one day in order to minimize the expense and emotional trauma to both parties.

The aim of the Divorce In a Day program is to create a unique forum which aims to recreate the most likely outcome from what would have otherwise resulted from the divorce proceeding and to present that outcome immediately to the parties to adopt without having to litigate or to bear extraordinary expenses in coming to that conclusion. This alternative to traditional divorce not only saves tremendous amounts of money, but also enables the parties to keep from engaging in litigation against one another- a step that is critical to the health of their relationship and their ability to co-parent following divorce.

It is important to note that although the Divorce In a Day program enables the parties to complete all proceedings in one day and generate all necessary pleadings to file with the court in compliance therewith- there is still a 90 day waiting period following the filing of the pleadings before a court can formally issue the decree. Hence, although the divorce proceedings themselves conclude in one day, by law in Colorado, there is still that same required 90 day waiting period before the appropriate court having jurisdiction can sign the decree following the filing of all required pleadings.
